The Marian Group is comprised of many dynamic and active members of the parish. They meet every first Saturday of the month for special devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. They start with an adoration at 8:00 a.m., followed by praying the rosary at 8:30 a.m., then they attend mass at 9:00 a.m.. A priest then leads discussions about Mother Mary and the Eucharist in the Social Hall at 10:00 a.m
Why do we pray the rosary? Mother Mary promised many graces from Almighty God to those who are devoted to her. We are her children, and brothers and sisters of her only Son, Jesus. Who better to lead you to Jesus, but His mother. You will find peace, forgiveness, and instruction. Souls will be refreshed; the weary will find help and those who weep will find happiness. Praying the rosary gives us perfect knowledge of Jesus Christ and gives us victory over all our enemies, and makes it easier to practice virtue.
A group setting is a wonderful way to start your devotion to Mother Mary. Many members have had years of devotion, others just learned in the last 6 months. Whatever experience you may have, we invite you to join us Saturday mornings to share your love, knowledge, and devotion to Jesus through Mother Mary. To join the e-mail list, send an e-mail to office@olhoc.org.
We also take prayer requests. Look for the basket in the narthex labeled Rosary intentions, or e-mail your intentions to office@olhoc.org.
